Delightful little map of the area surrounding Florence, shown pictorially in the center of the map, extending west to the Ligurian Sea. The map was engraved by the brothers Ambrose and Ferdinand Arsenius who had been assistants to Frans Hogenburg and co-engravers of Ortelius' folio Theatrum. This series of maps was accompanied by text by Michel Coignet and was published by Jan B. Vrients. Latin text on verso.

Condition: A

A nice impression with attractive color. There are damp stains in top corners, just entering the border a bit at top right, with a resulting chip at top right that has been professionally repaired.
