This map covers a portion of present-day Bavaria, spanning from just north of Bad Windsheim (Windsheim) south to Augsburg. There is good topographical detail, and the many rivers that run throughout the region are delineated, including the Danube. Hundreds of place names appear, including major cities in the region such as Nuremberg, Ingolstadt, and Furth. Historic battlefields are noted. At bottom left there is a striking decorative cartouche engraved by G. Eichler, featuring a trio of escutcheons capped with crowns, a river god, and other allegorical figures. Drawn by Albrecht Karl Seutter and engraved by Tobias Conrad Lotter.
