This copper engraved chart includes Florida and extends to show all of the Windward Islands, plus much of Mexico and Central America. Arrows indicate the trade winds. Dashed lines indicate the track of the Spanish Galleons and the flotilla from Vera Cruz to Havana. This handsome chart is embellished with a decorative rococo-style cartouche and compass rose. Published in the February 1762 issue of the Gentleman's Magazine.

Condition: B+

A dark impression, issued folding, on watermarked paper. There is an extraneous crease adjacent to the left fold and a small chip in the bottom right corner of the sheet, away from map image.
