Copper engraved map shows the region when it was a district of Massachusetts. Early county borders for York, Cumberland, Lincoln, Hancock, and Washington are delineated. The Eastern Boundary of the United States with New Brunswick is a straight line from the Saint Lawrence south to the Bay of Fundy. Chaleur Bay nearly makes an island with the Gaspe Peninsula. The map locates Portsmouth, Sedwich, Trenton, Machias, Halifax, and more. Published in Boston by Thomas & Andrews and engraved by Doolittle.
