These three small, uncommon maps were published in Brookes's General Gazetteer Improved and highlight the region where the campaigns of the War of 1812 took place.

A. The Northwestern Territories of the United States. This map covers the region from Michigan through Lake of the Woods, stretching north to the southern shore of Lake Winnipeg. The Great Lakes are slightly distorted and include the spurious islands in Lake Superior including Ponchartrain and Phillipeaux I. The map names Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and the settlements of Detroit, Sandwich, Miami B., F. St. Claire, F. Dearborne, Chicago, and more. Illinois' northern border is here shown even with the top of Indiana at 42°, which places Chicago in the Northwestern Territory. Spurious mountain ranges are shown snaking across the territory and are engraved in hachure.

B. The Middle States and Western Territories of the United States Including the Seat of the Western War. Depicts the region from Delaware and New Jersey west to Illinois. Identifies many early frontier settlements including Kaskaskias, St. Vincennes and Frankfort. Several state boundaries are erroneously placed, including Fort Dearborn and Chicago not being shown to be in Illinois.

C. The Eastern States with Part of Canada. Covers the area from western Pennsylvania north to New Brunswick. Detail is limited to the west of the Appalachian Mountains. Maine is identified as the District of Maine.
