This fine map of the county has an inset plan of Monmouth and portrait of King Henry V who was born at Monmouth Castle. The map shows the six hundreds, cities, markets, towns and villages with a surprising amount of detail. Large strapwork cartouches balance the corners of the map. Imprint of John Sudbury and George Humble at bottom left. English text on verso.

Condition: B

On a watermarked sheet with light soiling, minor toning along the centerfold, and a few printer's creases adjacent to the centerfold. The margins have been extended with old paper to better accommodate framing. Remnants of hinge tape on verso.
