A decorative, simply detailed map depicting topography throughout with major place-names noted. An inset of the Shetland and Orkney islands and three distance scales are also featured. The cartouche is decorated with garland, fishing net, and an anchor with two oars. The map is flanked by two columns of French text and surrounded by a wide rococo-style frame with a military theme. The map (10.2 x 9.2") and decorative border were printed from two separate plates and assembled with the text for this beautiful atlas.
