One of the earliest plans of the Green Bay area featuring 66 named landowners on the Fox River. Inset "View of the Settlement of the Kakalin or Great Rapids on the Fox River" shows additional landowners. The first example has the familiar American State Papers plate number at top, while the second, smaller example has no plate number and is lithographed by A. Hoen & Co.
B. [Lot of 2] Plan of the Settlement at Prairie des Chiens from the Report of J. Lee Esqre. Agent &c. Not Taken from Actual Survey (14.2 x 19.5" each). Shows names of property owners on the east bank of the Mississippi River in Crawford County. Over 80 plots are shown with the owners name and, in some cases, length of possession and how land was granted. Overall clean examples with just a few tiny spots and very faint offsetting.
