This charming map of the continent presents a great deal of information in its small format. A large, mythical lake Xaraxes is depicted centrally. There is a notation in the Atlantic regarding Magellan's discovery and in the Pacific explaining how the ocean was named for its calm and tranquil waters. The map is decorated with a title cartouche featuring two natives in the Atlantic and a sea battle in the Pacific.
