This superb map of Spain and Portugal includes the Balearic Islands. It was very finely engraved by Petrus Kaerius with elaborate cartouches, sailing ships, sea monsters, and compass roses. The sea is engraved in a bold moiré pattern. Latin text on verso.

Condition: A

A dark impression with attractive color, a few minor spots of printer's ink residue, and a professionally repaired centerfold separation that enters 3" into map at bottom.
