Outstanding and uncommon map of St. Thomas is a slightly larger version and unique to this 1764 edition. Beautifully engraved, it shows the nearby islands, soundings, anchorages, navigational hazards, villages, and Ft. Christian. A handsome chart that is embellished with a compass rose and rococo-style title cartouche.

Nice impression and color on sturdy, watermarked paper with light offsetting and scattered foxing, primarily in the blank margins.
