This map of the New York City area covers the region from Fort Lee and Hoboken, New Jersey east to Long Island. It shows the street grid pattern of Lower Manhattan along with roads, rivers and several place names. A note in the lower portion of the image identifies the "March of the troops under Genl. Clinton." An early British account of the American Revolutionary War. Published in William Gordon's The History of Rise, Progress and Establishment of the Independence of the United States.
