This striking map spans includes Taiwan and southeastern China, Indochina, Indonesia, the Philippines, New Guinea, the Marianas, the Caroline Islands, and the northern coast of Australia. Place names appear along the coasts along with a small amount of topographical detail, and hundreds of small islands are identified in the area's many archipelagos. Papua New Guinea's coastlines are incomplete. Engraved by Jean Baptiste Marie Chamouin and drawn by Giraldon.
A crisp impression with a few negligible spots.
