This handsome chart illustrates the movement of the earth around the sun during each month of the year. The decorative title is flanked by two more diagrams: one explains Kepler's theory of elliptical orbits, the other shows the movement of the sun throughout the day. The illustrations are surrounded by related French text. Composed and designed by H. Nicollet with text and supplemental figures by E. Soulier.
