This beautiful map covers Russia, Scandinavia, Poland and the Baltic States with pictorial indications of topography and forests. A large inset details the countryside northwest of Moscow. The map is beautifully engraved in Mercator's distinctive style with stippled seas and a strapwork cartouche. Latin text on verso.

A nice impression with attractive color and original margins. There is light, scattered foxing primarily confined to the blank margins, and a minor damp stain in bottom blank margin, far from map.
