Woodblock map of the region containing present-day Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine, with parts of Poland, Belarus and Russia. It has graphic depictions of the rivers, mountains, forests, and towns, with many ancient place names. German text on verso with an elaborate woodblock panel attributed to Hans Holbein.

A nice impression with light soiling, a couple of tiny worm holes, and a damp stain that enters 1.5" into the image along the centerfold at top. Two short tears in the bottom blank margin have been archivally repaired.
