The Graphic was a British weekly illustrated newspaper created in 1869 by William Luson Thomas, a successful artist and social reformer. This engraving depicts Native American Indians in New Mexico and Colorado, images of their dwellings, and portraits of several U.S. Army soldiers involved in the exploration of the Indian areas in the region. On verso is an article relating to the Native Indians in the area. Published on February 23, 1884.

Attractive color with short centerfold separations at top and bottom that have been closed on verso with archival material, and a few tiny spots.
