Magnificent and unusual chart of the North Pole showing a range of time zones and the Zodiac within a background of day and night. The chart is engraved onto the face of an elaborate case clock based on one made for Homann by Nuremberg clockmaker Zacharias Landteck with panels of German text at the sides. The map shows the Island of California with Compagnie Land stretching between North American and Asia.
