A charming miniature map of the Canary Islands, off the coast of Morocco. The map is handsomely adorned with a strapwork cartouche, a galleon, and two sea monsters. The majority of the maps for Bertius' geographical treatise were engraved by Jodocus Hondius Jr. after Mercator. French text on verso.

A nice impression on watermarked paper with attractive color and one small spot to the left of the ship.
