Beautiful county map with London illustrated at upper right. The map is fully engraved to show the topography, forests, parks, towns and villages, and divided into the thirteen hundreds. Richly embellished with the royal coat of arms and the armorials of ten noblemen; three of which are blank. The title cartouche features a stag and hunting hound. Latin text on verso.
Original color with wide original margins, minor soiling, a few small abrasions, and an archivally repaired 1.5" crack from Camerwell to Grenewich (below London) due to the oxidation of the green pigment. There is a centerfold separation confined to the top blank margin with remnants of paper tape on verso.
