This fascinating map traces the route of the Ten Thousand through the Persian Empire. The Ten Thousand were an army of Greek mercenaries commissioned by Cyrus the Younger to bring down Artaxerxes II, the king of Persia and his brother. Engraved by Kelly.

Issued folding on sturdy paper with wide margins as well as light scattered foxing and minor offsetting. There are a few short fold separations and an edge tear in the blank margins, all well away from image.
