The map is embellished with a decorative floral border and the engraved vignette "Maidens Rock, Lake Pepin on the Mississippi." Published in Colton's Western Tourist and Emigrant's Guide including 89 pp. of informative text and 23 pp. of advertisements for the Colton firm. Published by J.H. Colton, 86 Cedar Street.
