These early tinted lithographs are from the important railroad surveys. The first features three Mojaves posing with traditional full body tattoos in the desert. The second depicts two Navajos with spears, reflective and in repose on horseback, backed by a desert landscape. Thomas Sinclair is the lithographer for both.
Good margins with faint soiling, light toning, and a few minor chips and tears along the edges of the sheets, far from the image. There are remnants of hinge tape on the verso.
