This charming tiny map is a scarce derivative of Ortelius' miniature map of Southeast Asia. It covers from the misshapen Indian subcontinent through to the coastline of Americae pars and a part of Nova Guinea. The mythical Chiamai lacus in China spawns three major rivers and a city named Toleman sits on its shores. In the first edition of King's book on miniature maps, he attributed Bucelin's maps to Johann Praetorius who was the publisher of Historiae Universalis Auctarium.
