This densely engraved map is a reduced version of Ortelius' map of the Burgundy region included in the Theatrum Orbis Terrarum. This map features the Dukedom of Burgundy, which is present-day Cote d'Or with its fabulous vineyards. Locates the cities of Verdun, Chatillon, Montbard, Dijon, Beaune, Chalon, Tournus, Autun, and Saulieu. Embellished with a large strapwork title cartouche, a coat of arms, and a decorative scale of miles. German text on verso, published in 1600.
