This engraving, by the famous firm of W. & D. Lizars, is presented in a landscape composition and depicts the mountains, volcanoes, plateaus and sea shores of the world. The view is placed in an engraved picture frame border, with surrounding text that identifies the various mountains.

Condition: B

Some faint soiling with tears, chips, and top and bottom centerfold separations in blank margins. There are three tears at bottom that enter 0.5-2" into map image, as well as a small tear in unengraved area at top right corner, that have all been archivally repaired. There are some small abrasions along a horizontal crease at right.
