A beautifully engraved view of the U.S. Capital graces the title page, and the Flags of Various Nations adds to the charm of this atlas. The maps are very detailed and show topography, roads, railways and rivers. Several maps include insets. 168 pp. Folio, hardbound in original maroon paper-covered boards with an ornately decorated printed title on the front.

The maps are generally very good with some occasional light foxing and minor spots. The larger, triple-folding maps are somewhat creased where the map slightly extends beyond the atlas covers, along with a few minor separations. The spine is slightly cracked at bottom and the covers are lightly worn and bumped.
