This very rare atlas by Charles Lubrecht includes 64 single-page maps and 2 double-page maps of the United States and Europe. In addition to the maps, tables and diagrams, there are a number of vivid, color illustrations that make this a very attractive and unusual late 19th century atlas. The illustrations of note (all imaged) include Southern Scenes, The Postman of the Desert, The Great East River Suspension Bridge, and The Dairy Farm. 481 pp. Folio, with frontispiece, title page, contents, text, maps, and illustrations. Hardbound in brown cloth with gilt title on front cover and marbled endpapers.
