This vellum indenture, on three sheets, represents a land sale and promissory note between Richard and John Kelly and William Hole. The property is located in Marwood, Devon County, England. There is a blue tax stamp with foil on each sheet, and the front sheet is signed and sealed with red wax along the gutter.

The ink is crisp and the text is quite legible with some light soiling primarily along the edges of the sheets and some minor extraneous creasing.
