Great bird's-eye plan of ancient Jerusalem after Juan Bautista Villalpando's plan. Engravings of temple vessels, religious icons, King Solomon and a high priest flank the plan, with a large elevation of the Temple of Solomon at top. This map was originated by Bastiaan Stoopendaal in 1688. The plate was revised by Daniel Stoopendaal and then re-engraved by Jan van Jagen. This is the third state which includes Jagen's imprint and a spelling change in the bottom right corner from Nehemiae to Nehemia. Dutch text on verso.
