This handsome map covers the region from Greece across the Middle East to include parts of Persia and Arabia, Egypt, and the Black and Caspian Seas. The interior is engraved with mountains deserts, rivers, numerous towns and villages, and includes annotations providing interesting historical and geographical details. The map was engraved by Herman Moll and published in Thomas Salmon's Modern History.

Condition: B+

Issued folding, now pressed on watermarked paper with some faint soiling. A binding trim in the bottom right margin has been repaired with old paper, with the border expertly replaced in facsimile. One small hole in the right blank margin has been backed with tissue.
