This uncommon bird's-eye view depicts the peaks of the White Mountains and the surrounding region. The perspective is from the south, just over Lake Winnipesaukee, looking north past the White Mountains into northern New Hampshire. The view depicts the region’s towns, roads and railroads. At bottom are 52 geographical locations, numbered and identified and giving their elevation. Published by G.W. Morris. Folds into paper covers that are illustrated with a view of "The Old Man of the Mountain" (Cannon Mountain) and the notation "The Most Perfect Map Ever Issued."

Issued folding with "Oriental Linen Parchment" watermark. There are numerous fold separations that have been closed on verso with archival tape, light toning, and light damp stains primarily confined to the blank margins. Map is loose from the covers, which are worn and chipped.
