This book contains information on foreign missions across the world with a great deal of material on the Sandwich Islands and American Indians. At the front of the book is a folding map, Hawaii. The Outline from Vancouver; Improved by the Deputation. The map has basic detail including the six political districts, Puna, Hiro, Hamakua, Kohal, Kona, and Kau. It shows what appears to be a road mostly confined to the shoreline with named villages scattered along it. Mona Kea and Mona Roa are noted as is the "Great Crater of Kirauea." The publisher’s imprint of Crocker & Brewster is in the bottom blank margin.

12mo, quarter calf over brown marbled boards with gilt title on spine. 400pp. Published by Crocker and Brewster for the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions.

Map is toned and foxed with light offsetting, while the text has light scattered foxing. Contents are tight, with worn and rubbed covers and spine.
