A. Map of the City of Washington Showing Present Main Sewerage and Sewage Outfalls... (29.0 x 27.3"). Shows the extent of the sewer lines within the city as well as watershed boundaries for both storm water and sewage. Outside of the city, there is very good detail of land ownership, rivers, and topography - all of which would influence drainage and the city's sewer system. Condition: Vivid color with a number of fold separations that have mostly been closed on verso with archival tape, along with light toning primarily along the folds.

B. [Lot of 2] Map of Proposed Main Sewerage and Drainage Works for the Improvement of the Sanitary Condition of the District of Columbia. Project 1. (19.5 x 23.8") [and] Map of Proposed Main Sewerage and Drainage Works for the Improvement of the Sanitary Condition of the District of Columbia. Project 3. (19.7 x 19.1"). These two maps represent two scenarios for dealing with the city's sanitation problem. The first is "recommended" and the third is not. Condition: There are a number of fold separations, one of which has been repaired on verso with archival tape, along with some light toning along the folds.
