This German version of Charles Alexandre Lesueur's engraving shows Sydney Harbor at the mouth of the Parramatta River. Lesueur was a French naturalist, artist and explorer who traveled to Australia as the artist on board the expedition of Nicolas Baudin in 1801. This view depicts numerous boats and ships in the background with natives in the forefront. Published in Friedrich Ludwig Lindner's Der funfte Welttheil oder Australien.
