Finely engraved and very detailed map, based on D'Anville's important map of Italy. The map extends to Sicily, Corsica, Sardinia, and Majorca. A small inset shows Malta in relation to Sicily. The title is enclosed in a decorative cartouche.

Original color on watermarked paper with a few faint spots and a bit of offsetting. There are numerous minute worm holes, most of which are only noticeable when held to light.
