"[On 2 Sheets] Anno Domini 1548. Viena Austriae Hunc Habuit Situm", Munster, Sebastian

This scarce woodcut view depicts Vienna on two sheets. If joined together (30.8 x 8.8"), it would form an impressive panorama of Vienna, as seen from the north at ground level. Churches and major buildings are depicted and named along the Danube River, and the sky is filled with an elaborate ribbon-style cartouche and coat of arms.

Light toning along centerfold and sheet edges with some minor foxing primarily in the upper blank margins. First sheet has some faint text show through from title on verso. Side margins trimmed close to neatline, as issued.
