This lovely bird's-eye view depicts Koblenz, a German city situated on the banks where the Rhine river merges with the Moselle. The fortified city appears in the middle of the view, surrounded by forests, fields, and outlying towns. Ehrenbreitstein and Helfenstein castle are included in the distance. A coat of arms and elaborate ribbon-style cartouche dedicates the map to Archbishop-Elector Johann V. von Isenburg. Engraved by Hans Rudolph Manuel. German text on verso.
