This delicately engraved map shows the eastern coast of Spain from Palamos south to Denia. The Balearic Islands are also depicted including Majorca, Minorca, Ibiza and Formentera. There are two insets at top and left featuring Plan de la Baye du Sofa and Plan du Port Maon en l'Isle de Minorque. The elaborate title cartouche is decorated by a coat of arms and two men with swords, while the distance scale is surrounded by an armillary sphere, globe, and two sea monsters. Engraved by P. On watermarked paper with light soiling and a few minor printer's creases. Backed with tissue to reinforce and repair a number of centerfold separations, small areas of loss in unengraved areas of map, and some minor edge chips.
