This is an early promotional real estate map of Coral Gables, which was one of the first planned communities and was a pioneer in the concept of the homeowners' association and gated community. The city was developed by George Edgar Merrick during the Florida land boom the 1920's. The map is printed in black with red overprinting and includes an inset of the metropolitan Miami area at lower right, showing the city in relation to Miami. Engraved by W. C. Bliss.

Issued folding on watermarked paper with some light soiling along the folds, a company stamp above the title, and numerous small pencil notations in the map image.
