Based on the cartography of Johann Criginger (1521-1571), this fine map places Prague near center. It is boldly engraved in Ortelius' style; mountains and forests and hundreds of tiny villages are shown. Two sumptuous strapwork cartouches decorate the bottom. Dutch text on verso, published between 1571-73.

Attractive old color on watermarked paper with minor offsetting near center and light damp stains confined to the blank margins.
