This lot includes the first two editions of the Illustrated London News from 1849. Included are maps and views of the Gold Rush and San Francisco, including a small "Map of the Gold Regions in Upper California" taken from George Foster's rare early pamphlet The Gold Mines of California. 32 pp. of text with numerous illustrations.
