This Ptolemaic map shows Italy and includes Corsica, and parts of Sardinia and Sicily. The map is drawn on a trapezoidal projection and shows ancient political divisions during the Roman period. Finely engraved with a stippled sea.

Nice impression on watermarked paper. There is light toning along centerfold, a professionally repaired centerfold separation near <i>Semnones</i>, and printer's ink residue.
