This colorful pictorial map shows the city of Boston surrounded by the Charles River and Boston Harbor. Six vignettes are shown on the sides of the map depicting historically significant events including John Hancock's inauguration as the first governor of the state, Joseph Warren's address, and the Boston Tea Party.
There is a small tear along Mill Dam, an archivally repaired tear that just enters neatline at lower right, a few faint spots, and one tiny abrasion in the lower blank margin.
