This charming little dictionary is filled with information on all different types of animals, and includes dozens of engravings of "the most important and interesting animals." Published by C. Whittingham in Cheswick. 24mo. Full dark green leather with gilt embossing on covers, raised bands and title in gilt on spine, and full gilt on page edges (t.e.g.) with embossing, and original ribbon bookmark.

Condition: A

Engravings are in original color, with most in near fine condition, with light toning on facing text pages. A few are in very good condition with occasional light stains. Binding is sound. Spine and covers show light wear and hinges are starting. There is a previous owner's bookplate on front free-endpaper.
