This map of southern India is divided into regions and extends to include part of Sri Lanka (Ceylan). A legend at bottom left identifies "important locations," the residences of princes and governors, churches and temples. The map is based on manuscript charts by Jesuit missionaries and the Jesuit symbol is included in the cartouche. Engraved by Delahaye.
