"Brabantiae, Germaniae Inferioris Nobilissimae Provinciae Descriptio", Ortelius, Abraham

A striking map of Brabant, including Antwerp, as well as Rotterdam, Roermond and Bergen op Zoom with north oriented to the left. The cartography is based on the six sheet map of Brabant by Jacob van Deventer that was published in 1536 and 1558. Latin text on verso and the page number 16.

There is a small centerfold separation that has been repaired with tissue on verso along with an inch-long, quarter inch wide loss at centerfold which is in facsimile. There is a small paper flaw in lower right image, just above the distance scale.
