This tiny map focuses on the western coast of Africa in the vicinity of the Congo River. It is based on the descriptions of Filippo Pigafetta. It was published by Cornelius Claesz and printed by Langenes in the first edition of the popular Map-treasury. Dutch text on verso.

There is some worming, soil and paper restoration in the blank margins and some printer's ink residue in the plate.
