This whimsical celestial chart illustrates Tycho Brahe's cosmological system describing the complex movements of Venus and Mercury as viewed from earth. The center of the chart is filled with a delightful scene of cherubs swinging through the clouds. Two text panels at lower corners describe the movements of the planets.
An abrasion along centerfold in blank area of map image, and a tear in blank margin that has been closed on verso with archival materials.
