This architectural title page depicts the royal coat of arms of Scotland in the top half, featuring a shield with the red lion of the King of Scots supported by two chained Unicorns. The motto above the crest, "In Defence" is a contraction for "In My Defens God Me Defend." The title imprint is pasted onto the sheet, as was common at the time of publication.
